Miut – Madeira Island Ultra Trail

The Clube de Montanha do Funchal annually promotes the 12th edition of the MIUT (Madeira Island Ultra Trail) a mountain race that offers its participants with a unique experience crossing the island highest peaks/mountains, a sports event to be held on April, 25th.
The 2019 edition had a total of 2600 participants and 45 diferent nationalities, congregating some of the main national and international athletes of reference in this area.
This competition covers the areas of Porto Moniz and Machico crossing the island’s best tracks, including the central massif – Encumeada – Ruivo Peak (1861 m) – Areeiro Peak –, in a very challenging circuit of about 115 km.
