Wine Harvest Festivities – Quinta do Estreito

Integrated in the celebrations held around the island in tribute to locals ancient wine-making traditions activities, the Quinta do Estreito annually organises a wide range of cultural activities as part of the grape harvest festival.

This event includes inter-cultural activities with the purpose of showcasing different ethnographic situations; visitors and residents are invited to participate in the grape harvest and experience some of Madeira’s delicious culinary delicacies.

11am – Vintage Live (hotel guests)
noon – Carring grapes to the wine press
12.30 pm – Stepping of the grapes
1.30 pm- Traditional Madeiran lunch at “Adega da Quinta”.
3.30pm – Barrel Filling Process
4.30pm – End of the Harvest Festival
