Description
Situated in the picturesque, tranquil village of Ponta do Pargo, this guest suite is ideal to explore the north and north west side of the island, including the popular levada walk of twenty five fountains (vinte cinco fontes) in Rabaçal, the beautiful mountain plateau of Paul de Serra, the volcanic rock pools of Porto Moniz and much more. The Jasmine guest Suite is a bright cosy Annex, with sea views, and a private roof terrace, with a small kitchenette for preparing a light meal, and sleeps 2-3. This is a perfect haven for keen walkers, with many levada walks and walking trails in the area. There are several restaurants in the surrounding area. A warm welcome awaits you, from Gill your friendly host.
One feels hidden away from the world in the little village of Ponto da Pargo, with it’s jugged, sea-cliffs, crystal clear waters, lush, green vegetation and pure air. The villagers are mainly farmers and the gardens boast the most exquisite and over-sized flowers. The nearby lighthouse and the plunging waters of the waterfall of Garganta Funda are local attractions. So too, is the cable car at Achadas da Cruz, an exhilarating ride, going down about 400 metres to the Fajã da Quebrada Nova an area of agricultural plots, sandwiched between tall mountain cliffs and the ocean. Nature, in all its beauty.
