Drive, or take a bus to Ribeiro Frio and then do the short balcoes walk ending at the Balcoes viewpoint. On a clear day you can see all the main mountain peaks.
Calheta from Casa das Mudas Art Centre
From Casa das Mudas Art centre you have a wonderful view of the sandy beaches (there are two on either side of the lagoon), the Calheta village and of course the blue, blue sea.
